Space Invaders

It's been awhile since I did a strictly Time Wasting post. So I figured it was about time for one. I happened to stumble upon this site the other day. It features that classic arcade game Space Invaders. This is good for a couple minutes of wasting time while you're at work or waiting for your turn at Scrabulous. Here's a little fun fact. Originally the little aliens that you shoot down were intended to be soldiers, but it was determined that it was politically unwise to encourage the killing of humans.

Zombie Grinder 60000

What do you get when you combine Zombie's, Grind Metal and video games? Well you get Zombie Grinder 6000, that's what you get! This zombie game is a bloody shot em up with a metal grind core soundtrack. I highly reccomend when you play this game to turn up the volume! If you at work you might not want to play this, that is unless you have a pair of headphones. Go check it out know and kill some zombies!

Invaders

Ok everyone here's a version of that ever popular classic arcade game Space Invaders. Use your arrow keys to move your ship and press the space bar to shoot. Don't let the nasty aliens land or you'll be toast. Have fun and be sure to waste alot of time playing this game.

Duck Hunt

If you happened to grow up in the 80's and either you or a friend had a Nintendo Entertainment System than you will remember this classic game, Duck Hunt. Don't fret though if you didn't grow up in the 80's and never had a chance to play Duck Hunt. Here's a website that lets you relive the joy of shooting down ducks. It takes a bit of getting used to using your mouse to do the shooting but you'll quickly get the hang of it. The only downside of it, is that after awhile you get a little bored, not exactly the hours of entertainment that it used to provide when I was younger, but it's still good for a little time wasting and who doesn't need some time wasting in their lives.

You Must Focus

I don't know about you but I can't stare at this without getting a headache. Here's a game you might want to play in your office, in order to waste some time. Get a few of your cubicle buddies and see who can stare at this image the longest. The loser buys everyone a round of drinks.

So this is a great game that you and your friends can play the next time your out at a bar/pub drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon, it's called Hipster Bingo. I think I just might of discovered one of the best time wasting games yet. I really don't know how to discribe this game. There is a maze and than there are "creeps that are trying to get thru the maze. You need to stop them from doing that. How might you stop them, well by building attacking towers, that will rain down a whole lot of hurt upon those menacing "creeps" trying to get thru the maze. In the meantime you aquire gold with each "kill". With this gold you can build new towers and upgrade your old towers. This game is really addicting, actually I'm playing it as I type this blog post up. So go check it out, but you've been warned.

Etch A Sketch

The majority of us all had an etch a sketch growing up and if you didn't maybe you should call your parents and tell them that they deprived you of your childhood. Anyway, it is with great pleasure that I bring you the online version of Etch A Sketch. This will surely provide you a few minutes of fun while you toil away in your cubicle. While growing up did you ever take a magnifying glass and use it to magnify the light of the sun and burn or set things on fire? Maybe you even set ants on fire, while doing this.(Yes I now that sounds cruel). Basically you have a huge magnifying class and a Gods eye view. Down below you is a city intersection, complete with cars, people and old ladies waking their dogs. Well need I say more? Test Your Cocentration

Ok people, do you sometime feel like your losing your edge on your concentration? Well I've found this great little web game that tests and helps you improve your concentration. Basically you have to follow a red ball, it's placed under one of three cups and then the cups are moved around. You then guess which cup the red ball is under, sounds easy doesn't it guys, but for some reason the statistics for this little test show that women actually do better on it. I'm not really sure why but why don't you go test your concentration and see how well you do.

Shooting Sheep

Just how quick do you think you are? Well find out with this great little time waster of a game, where you shoot sheep with a tranquilizer gun. Yes you heard that right, but let me say it again, you shoot sheep with a tranquilizer gun. What could be more fun than that(thats a rhetorical question). The objective of the game is to click the tranquilizer button whenever you see a sheep make a dash for freedom. You have to stop five sheep and than your reaction times are calculated. I'm always amazed at how such a simple thing can be so much fun. Be warned, this can be highly addicting, since you'll constantly be trying to improve your reaction times.

Here's a tip to increase your reaction time: drink lots of coffee.

Vector Park

So Johnny Strike over at Seen Any Good Films Lately sent me this link which he thought would be a good time waster. Well let me tell you I don't think he could of sent me a better time waster than Vector Park. I can't really describe what Vector Park is and do it any justice, except that its an interactive flash website that I found a tad creepy at times but is wonderfully surreal. I guarantee that you will have some fun wasting your time there.

Line Rider

Ok have I got a time wasting game for you, well it's not actually a game in the sense that you win a prize or accumulate points, but it's still a game. It's called Line Rider and it's fast becoming an internet phenomenon. Basically you have a blank field where you draw a line and when your done drawing your line you hit the play button. When you hit the play button is when the fun begins, a bob sledder appears and follows your line until it ends or until he crashes. I really can't explain how fun and a bit sadist this is watching your little bob sledder sped down the slopes, with his red & white scarf.. You can draw a line and make jumps that your bob sledder will never make and watch him crash to his doom or you can build a complicated line and watch with satisfaction as your sledder completes your course.

Flow: dive, eat & evolve

I found this great dreamy FREE online game the other day called Flow, where guide your "creature" through the depths where it eats and evolves. I really really wish I didn't find this addictive game. In only a day I've become addicted to it. It's mesmerizing and has a Zen like quality to it, where it just makes the minutes melt away, which is great if your trying to waste time. So I dare you to play Flow and try to see if you can stop.

Job wasting games

If you hate your job, raise your hand, stand up and scream at the top of your lungs that your mad as hell and can't take it anymore. Well if your like me and don't really want to draw that much attention to yourself than I might suggest you visit this website instead, addicting games. So instead of filling out that expense report or preparing for that power point presentation, go over to that website and play some puzzle games or even better yet shoot kittens out of a cannon.

Driving lessons

So since I live in large metropolitan area(that didn't mean to sound as pretentious as it does). I own no car and basically get around using public transportation. So the times I do drive a car are few and far between. Yes driving a car is much like riding a bike, you kind of never forget how to do it. With that said, I still feel like I need to brush up on my driving skills from time to time so, I found this great simple little game that will keep my driving abilities in check.

Oh and did I mention its a great little time waster too!
