With politcal season upon us here in the USA and the impending primaries and than next year with a vote for a new president I thought it might be good to have more political related content on here. So I'd like to start off with this video that you should take the time to watch.
Just in case you have alot of extra marijuana trimmings laying around the house, here's a video that shows you how to make hashish from it. This seems like a great project that the whole family could have fun doing.
Ummm....Not exactly sure what to say about this but here it is anyway.
The title says it all. These guys dress up in ridiculous outfits and amazingly the DMZ let them get their driver's license pictures taken in the outfits.
Yes, you did read that right! I found out about this story over at Annie Atomic v2. A&P grocery store is sueing two former employees/college kids for $1 million dollars in damages due to a video they posted on YouTube. The video is a gangsta rap spoof incorporating vegetables as props and subject matter, since the duo, who go by the name of Fresh Beets, worked in the produce dept of the grocery store. The duo filmed the 4:15 minute video at their place of employment yet during hours when they weren't on the clock. After about a week of the video being on YouTube there was one complaint lodged to the corporate headquaters of A&P. The duo was suspended from their job and then a week after that were formally fired. Which in my opinion is a justified response by management due to the fact that it was filmed at their place of work, now whether if I would of fired them or just given them a stern warning and the silent treatment had I been their boss is debatable.
One would think that them getting fired would be enough of a punishment. Yet in someone's infinite wisdom over at A&P corporate headquaters, they have decided to file a $1 million dollar lawsuit against the recently fired rappin duo. Can someone explain to me why would a large corporation file such a claim against two college kids who have just been fired from their $10 an hour job(if that)? Do they plan on setting up a payment plan if they win the case? You would think that there would be someone smart enough at A&P to realize that if they just simply fired the two boys, ignored the video and left it at that that that would be the end of it. Yet by filing this lawsuit they are just giving the video more exposure and giving themselves some very bad press. What do they believe they will gain from this besides making themselves look like a big bad corporate entity?
Well the two upstart rappin filmmakers have a website/blog where they keep everyone updated on the goings on in regards to the video and lawsuit. There is also a link on the site where you can send comlaints to A&P. So far over 600 people have sent in complaints from the site, to A&P in regards to the outlandish lawsuit.

Alot of times guys get alot of flack for starring at a woman's breasts. In our defense, sometimes we just can't help it, especially if the woman in question is wearing a low cut revealing top. Now, what would happen if the roles were reversed? If the outline/bulge of a guy's penis was clearly visible through his pants? Would a woman have a hard time(no pun intended) not starring at it. Well the video below seems to answer that question.
Ok this video is simply mind boggling and the hook. I can't even begin to fathom how long it took them to do this stop motion video using dice and dominoes. The band/artist is Fujiya & Miyagi, an electronica alternative band(never heard of them before), the song is called Ankle Injury and it was directed by Wade Shotter at Factory Films.

OK so here's something that will definitely put a smile on your face. This is a video of some guy that got caught dancing on a security camera in Best Buy. This guy can really dance, check out the moves busts at around the 55 second mark.
I was never a fan of Bauhaus but I am a big fan of Nine Inch Nails. So when I came across this video on YouTube of Peter Murphy(lead singer of Bauhaus and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails fame doing a cover version of Warm Leatherette, I knew I just had to post it. Bauhaus opened up for NIN on some tour dates earlier this year and I guess this video stems from some pre-show Radio show of some sort that they did together and recorded a bunch of songs. I couldn't imagine what it would of been like sitting in that tiny little room listening to this. The recordings/video also feature Jeordie White(aka Twiggy Ramirez) and Atticus Ross.
Ok so here's the deal on this guy. He has an ipod and a Canon PowerShot. He than choose some location and picks a pop song and just starts busting a move. Did I just say bust a move? Anyway, yes there is this guy that also does the same thing, but Davey has far superior dance moves and the music he chooses is a step above too.
Ok, I was bored a minute ago and I decided to go over to Google and type in I Do Nothing All Day and see what came up. This site was the number one result and guess what the name of the site is actually called www.idonothingallday.com. I could go on and try to explain this site but it's probably best if you just go over and see it for your self, just make sure your co-workers/boss/girl friend isn't in viewing vicinity of the monitor.

Here's a great interview of Serj Tankian(System of the Down) and Tom Morello(Rage Against the Machine/Audioslave) done by Henry Rollins(Black Flag/Rollins Band). Well actually the parts were Serj and Tom talk are great, but Henry Rollins is a horrible interviewer. He should really stick to what ever else he does, be it spoken word poetry or lifting weights. The only good thing about him is he has the pull to be able to get some really cool people to interview. Anyway, Serj and Tom talk about their Axis of Justice project and also about political activism in general.
Ok so a week ago was Go Skateboarding Day(June 21), apparently no one told me about it because I would of dusted off my Mike Vallely everslick and popped some ollies, that is if my old man knees could of handled it.
So on Go Skateboarding Day, it seems that a group of skateboarders in Arkansas got a little more than they bargained for. They got hassled by a cop and a few of them got roughed up and arrested. Now when I say rough up I mean they got choked, thrown to the ground, and threatened with being maced. These boys and girls were only 13-16 and from my view didn't deserve the amount of force that was used, regardless of whether they gave the lone cop a hard time or not(which I'm sure they did give the cop a hard time). But really getting a 14 year old girl in a choke hold come on.
Now I'm the first to admit that a pack of skateboarders can be loud, obnoxious and have a f*ck you attitude when they are skateboarding. Growing up my friends and I have been hassled by cops/security guards while skateboarding, but we never gave them any lip. We just politely moved on, found another skate spot and would come back again when the cops/security guards where gone. See the thing is that yeah alot of cops out there are jerks and like to abuse their power but for the most part if your cool towards them they'll be cool back, sometimes it is really that simple.

Will Ferrell is one funny guy but what do you get when you have Will Ferrell and a cursing little girl, named Pearl. You get one extremely funny short video. Check the video out show it to all your friends because it's really funny. Although what is up with Will's hair he has like an afro? Pearl is great too, hopefully her and Will will work together again in the future. Oh and did I say that this was really funny?

So I was clued into this funny video by a friend of mine and he thought it would be a great video to post here on Wasting Time. This video features the Pearl Jam song Yellow Ledbetter and how one might mishear the lyrics of the song. I think one of my favorite lines is "make me fries" and also "potato wave". Very Funny stuff.

You really need to check this video out. This guy named Matt Weddle does a hippiefied cover version of Outkast's hit Hey Ya. If I didn't hear it myself I would of laugh at the notion of doing an acoustic version of this song. Somehow he manages to not only pull it off but to even, dare I say do a better rendition of the song than Outkast themselves. Well watch the video and you decide for yourself.
